We’re looking for customer focussed individuals with a real passion for sport and experience of working in a busy office or reception environment to work as part of our Customer Service Advisor team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of the front of house reception activities in our state of the art new indoor sports facility.

About the roles:

We are looking to recruit to six roles on the following basis:

Position 1-2 - 0.7FTE Permanent x2 £12,970 to £14,064 (£18,529 to £20,092 x 0.7fte) per annum

Position 3-4 - 0.7FTE Fixed term (12 months) x2 £12,970 to £14,064 (£18,529 to £20,092 x 0.7fte) per annum

Position 5 - 0.8FTE Fixed term (maternity cover 9 months, or until early return of postholder) £14,823 to £16,074 (£18,529 to £20,092 x 0.8fte) per annum

Position 6 - 0.4FTE x1 Fixed term (12 months) £7,412 to £8,037 (£18,529 to £20,092 x 0.4fte) per annum

As part of a small front of house team, you’ll provide an efficient, professional and courteous front of house experience as the first point of contact for customers. You’ll play a key role in enhancing the University’s reputation for sport, and establish the University as one of the leading modern universities for sport within the HE sector.

Primary duties will include:

● taking payments and bookings

● operating the Leisure Management System (memberships)

● directing and providing information to customers as required

We’ll be looking for you to demonstrate experience of:

● Office/Reception experience gained in a high volume, busy, process driven working environment

● delivering a high level of customer care to all users

● communicating effectively face to face with customers and over the phone

Position 1-2 Permanent: The post holder will work a 26 hour week

Position 3-4 Fixed Term Contract: The post holder will work a 26 hour week

Position 5 Maternity: The post holder will work a 30 hour week

Position 6 Fixed Term Contract: The post holder will work a 16 hour week

Your working hours are based on a shift based system which will include the requirement for you to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, University Closure days and Bank Holidays over a 362 day a year service.
