The University of Liverpool is highly committed to sport and is aiming to continue the development and performance of its clubs.
A key ambition is to raise the performance of our student teams competing in the British Universities and Colleges Sports league (BUCS). We run three teams in BUCS and have introduced a Development team.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate coach who has experience of coaching Rugby Union at a high level.
Candidates should be qualified to a minimum of Level 2 standard and be immediately available from late September on Monday evenings and Wednesday afternoons.
You will work closely with the Club Officers and members of the Sports Development Team. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be committed to improving performance. You will have experience or empathy of working within a student environment.

Job Requirements:
• To lead and deliver structured Rugby Union coaching sessions to the Men’s Rugby Union 1st and 2nd teams.
• Lead other coaches and team captains in selecting teams for the BUCS fixtures.
• To ensure teams adhere to BUCS regulations.
• To be committed to professional development.
• To assist in the development of the club and offer feedback to club officers.
Playing Level of Teams:
• 1st Team BUCS Northern 2A league (North West opposition mainly)
• 2nd Team BUCS Northern 3A league
Training:
• Monday evening 6pm – 8pm at Jericho Lane Astro, Aigburth
• Attendance at Wednesday afternoon BUCS fixtures is essential.
Required Qualifications:
• UKCC Level 2 (or equivalent) with experience of working with beginners and advanced level players.
• Experience of playing rugby to a high level is desirable.
Pitch Location:
• Wyncote Sports Grounds, Mather Avenue, Liverpool, L18 6HF.
Hourly Rate:
• £20 to £30 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
