Short Description:

• Part-Time Men’s First Team (Men's 1) Football Coach at the University of Dundee Football Club

• Service agreement ~5-7h a week, depending on matches

• Fixed term 7 months September-March with the possibility of prolongation to next season

• Payment: Dependent on qualification and experience. Self-Employed.

• In-person training sessions & Match-days at The Riverside Sports Complex (Dundee).

Job Description:

The Dundee University Association Football Club are seeking a motivated and dedicated football coach to lead them through the season and support them with their aspirations to get promotion and win some silverware. The 1st team will compete within the Men's BUCS Scottish 3A League and the Scottish Conference Cup. Mandatory aim to secure promotion by topping the league.

The successful candidate will be expected to lead two challenging and engaging evening training sessions per week (1.5 hrs per session) and manage match day on Wednesday at home and (desirably) away fixtures too.

The candidate must effectively select and manage a squad of performance football players from trials and pre-season week(September). We expect to see the development of players and work towards planning for match-day tactics, patterns of play and all other related areas. Work closely with team captain and committee for reciprocal feedback and assistance.

Qualifications

• SFA Level 1.3 Youth/Adult Coaching Award Qualifications - Essential

• UEFA B Licence - Desirable

• SFA C Licence Personal - essential

• Previous Coaching Experience

• Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team

• Be organised & have good time management skills

• Be able to adapt to different and changing situations

• Ability to liaise with management, committee and players professionally.

• Have excellent communication skills Personal - desirable

• Previous playing experience in a professional or semi-professional environment

• An understanding of a range of different teaching/learning styles to optimise player development.
