Below are some important timings for the day. Please note these timings are a guide and may change on the day if needed.

Registration

Registration: 08:30-09:00

Registration will take place inside the reception area of the main “Leisure Dome” building.
The Captain/Coaches’ briefing will take place on the grass area in front of the Leisure Dome.
Please ensure you have registered your team’s arrival as soon as you get to site.

Team Sheets

Team sheets are not required for this event; however, all players must be registered on 
BUCS Play by Tuesday 14th October at 23:59pm.
Please be aware the maximum squad size for BUCS 6’s tournament is 12 players per team.

The BUCS Lacrosse 6s Rules & Regulations can be found here. The tournament will be played to World Lacrosse (WL) Sixes Official Playing Rules. A summary of rules can be found in the downloadable event guide at the top of the page.

WhatsApp Group

A WhatsApp Group will be used to communicate with teams and post results throughout the day. A sign-up link will be available at registration, or team captains/coaches can add themselves to the group ahead of the competition here.

Playing Information

Playing surface: All fixtures will be played on 3G. Please make sure you bring appropriate footwear for the surface. 


Playing colours & numbers: All players must wear a playing shirt or bib which is clearly numbered. The number must be visible on both the front AND back of the shirt. Teams must identify playing numbers on the team sheets, no number may be used more than once, and players cannot swap numbers during the tournament. 

Where possible, please bring a set of different coloured bibs in event of a clash of playing colours. Where opposing teams are deemed to be wearing colours that are too similar, the first named team on the schedule will be required to change their playing colours.

Warm-Up Areas

Warm up areas will be available inside the 3G dome. Please do not warm up directly 
behind goal areas.

Changing Facilities

Changing rooms will be available for use during the day at the main Sports Centre. 
Members of staff will be on hand to help direct you to changing rooms, however we would suggest teams come dressed ready to play. All changing rooms are shared, teams will not be allocated their own room, and changing rooms will not be locked. Please make sure you do not leave any valuables unattended.

Please ask venue staff if you require the use of a gender neutral changing facility.

Parking

Limited parking is available on site on a first come first served basis.
Please note, parking for minibuses and large 52 seat coaches is not available on site. Please contact Helen Amos if you intend to travel to site via minibus/coach and we will be able to advise a suitable drop off location and off-site parking.

Food & Drink

Mobile food & drink caterers will be available at the event hub, situated in between the two main buildings. Food & drink on offer will include:
• Coffee
• Wood-fired Pizza
• Indian Street Food

Equipment

 Lacrosse equipment vendors will be on site with a range of equipment and accessories. 
The equipment vendors attending are: 
• Pioneer Lacrosse
• Pulse Lacrosse

First Aid/Medical

Emergency medical cover will be provided at the event venue.

Teams are expected to bring their own first aid kit with them to treat minor cuts/bruises. The Emergency First Aid team will be on hand in the event of any more serious incidents. 

The First Aid team do not provide any physio or taping services and there are no Physio services provided on site.

Withdrawals

Institiution Administrators will be able to withdraw teams at any point without charge up until the Team Join Deadline (9 October 2025 at 23:59pm).

After the Team Join Deadline (9 October 2025 at 23:59pm) withdrawals will still incur the full entry fee. Withdrawals should be made by emailing the BUCS Event Team, after which the event lead will be in touch to confirm.
