Registration
Teams must provide student ID cards for each player – please remember to bring these, players will not be permitted to play unless they present a valid student ID card.
Please bring match forms and registration forms which will be emailed to teams at least a week before the day of their tournament.
Other registration details to note:
- Teams must be affiliated with the BSKA
- Teams are entered through BUCS Play through your institution
- BUCS Play individual player registration will close the Tuesday before the corresponding tournament, with the individual player approval deadline being the Thursday before the tournament.
Timetable
Each preliminary round will follow a group stage format, with subsequent deciders to finalise placings. The precise timetable including fixture times for each preliminary round will be sent out to concerned teams closer to the event.

To withdraw from the event, please contact your Institution Administrator who should inform the event lead.

Parking
South & Wales – Accessible parking available on site.
Scotland & North East – Free parking outside the sports centre in the car park.
South Midlands – Free parking available on site.
North 1 (Yorkshire) – There is a car park just behind the building and a multistorey one across the street.
North 2 (North West) – Free on street parking outside Sugden. Aquatics Centre car Park, £8 for 9 hours.
North Midlands – NCP car park a 5 min walk away: NCP Orchard Street, 37 Orchard St, Leicester, LE1 3UG. £1.95 per 2 hours.
East – Customers are allowed up to 4 hours free parking whilst taking part in their Sportspark activity. Please note there is a charge of £5 for every hour or part thereof, once the 4 hour free period has been exceeded. Please see reception desk for more details about parking and how to pay on arrival.
Changing Facilities and Disability Access
South & Wales – Men’s and Women’s changing rooms and toilets are available immediately upstairs as you enter North Hall reception.
Scotland & North East – Changing facilities, including accessible and gender-neutral facilities are available at the sports centre. Sports centre should be accessible to everyone.
South Midlands – Changing facilities available.
North 1 (Yorkshire) – Accessible and changing facilities inside sport centre.
North 2 (North West) – Changing facilities on side, with disability accessibility.
North Midlands – Accessible and changing facilities inside sports centre.
East – Changing facilities available.
Food and Drink
South & Wales – A water refill is available just outside the sports hall. A Tesco extra is located 5 minutes from the training village.
Scotland & North East – Small café inside the sports centre. Water fountains in the sports centre to refill water bottles. Bring food where possible.
South Midlands – There is a cafe on site, however no shops nearby so bringing food is advisable.
North 1 (Yorkshire) – Shops nearby such as Tesco Express within a 5 minute walk.
North 2 (North West) – Vending Machines on site. Tesco Express a 2 min walk.
North Midlands – Tesco superstore within a 5-min walk.
East – On-campus kitchen in the sports centre where food can be purchased. Water fountains available.
Clothing
Shirt colour must be the same for the whole team, with unique numbers clearly visible.
Progression to Further Stages
KOR 2.4.3 All the teams that participate in the Preliminary Round will progress to either the Regional Round or the Northern/Southern Qualifiers. The two highest finishing 1st teams at each preliminary competition will progress to the Regional Round. Of the remaining teams, the three highest finishing teams at each preliminary competition will also progress to the Regional Round, with all other teams progressing to the Northern/Southern Qualifiers.

Photography & Videography
Anyone wishing to take photos or video at this event must complete the BUCS Media Accreditation Form prior to the event.
BUCS reserves the right to prohibit photography equipment being used at a BUCS event. BUCS reserves the right to request that the individual ceases to take photographs, deletes any images and, if considered necessary, leaves the venue.
