INFORMATION UPDATE 28/05/24 - CHAMPIONSHIP RUN CUT NUMBERS CHANGE

Please note that all riders will get 1 qualifying run, with the top 101 Open and top 13 Female riders qualifying for the Championship run.  The fastest time from the Championship run will determine finishing places. The change to numbers of riders qualifying for a Championship run has been made based on field size of entries to the Open and Female categories.

Championship medals are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd quickest finishers from the Championship run.

Open team medals are awarded for the 3 fastest Championship run times per Institution, and Female Team medals are awarded for the 2 fastest Championship run times per Institution.

BUCS Points and Medals

Photography and Videography

During this event, various filming, photography, and broadcasting may take place. By your presence at this event, you grant your permission for your likeness and voice to be included in pictures and/or on film, and their advertising without compensation or credit.  

Anyone wishing to take photos or video at this event must complete the BUCS Media Accreditation Form prior to the event

Number Boards & Transponders

These must be returned following the competition.  Any competitors that do not return their number board will be fined £5 and £90 for the transponder via their institution.

Marshal Information

If you have entered three or more athletes into this competition, you must sign up to provide at least one marshal via BUCS Play for the duration of the event.

Marshal briefings will be at the Paramedics Tent.   Please be punctual.

Briefing times:

Saturday – 9.30am

Sunday – 8.00am

Marshals must attend the briefing for the days that they have signed up to marshal.  Marshals must be available for the entire day and should not leave their position until the last rider has left the course.

Note For Marshalls:

All Marshalls will need warm and waterproof clothing – As you will be on the hill for a number of hours you should have with you: Warm clothes, Waterproofs, Woolly hat, Gloves, Food & Drink.  Everyone will be given a brief prior to going on the hill and will need to collect a whistle, Radio, 2 flags and a vest – You should arrive at the brief with everything you need to go on the hill.
