Costs and Entry Dates

Entry Cost

  • £19.50: Mens and Womens K1 and C1 Sprint and Classic
  • £26.50: Open Team, Mixed Team, C2


Dates:

Stage One

Entries open Tuesday 15 October 
Entries close on Tuesday 5 November 2019 at 11:59pm for student competitors. 

Institutional Administrators have 48 hours after the student/competitor deadline to approve entries

Stage Two

Entry window:
 Friday 7 November – Tuesday 12 November 2019

Should the competition allow more entries, a stage two entry window will open. Priority will be given to the entries received before the stage one entry closing date. Entries received in the stage two window and accepted into the competition, will be charged an additional 20% fee.

 

Entry Process

To apply for this competition:

  1. Competitor to complete competition application on BUCS Play
  2. Institution administrator approves entry
  3. BUCS approves/denies entry into competition and publishes confirmed entry list.

Any data will be handled in accordance with BUCS Privacy Policy

Entry Allowance

Institutions can request up to 30 non-guaranteed entries in both the male and female events.

Should the event reach capacity, BUCS may need to restrict the number of entries per institution.

This means when submitting entries on BUCS Play, for both the Men’s and Women’s competition, competitors should be ranked in order of preference before being submitted.

Events

K1 Classic and Sprint: all types of K1 Kayak allowed
C1 Classic and Sprint: all types of C1 closed cockpit 1 person canoe allowed
C2 Classic and Sprint: event open to both men and women, all types of c2 closed cockpit 2 person canoe allowed
Open Team Classic: can be made up of any 3 boats per team of any gender.
Mixed Team Classic: can be made up of 3 boats per team and is open to all boats of either gender except Men K1

An individual competitior may only enter each Team Event once. If entering both the open and mixed team events must paddle a different boat class in each. 

Camping and Party

There are a limited number of camping spaces for teams to make use of.

Camping will be £21pp and will include camping, tickets for the Saturday party and a homemade evening meal on the Saturday evening.

Camping and food is organised seperatly from the competition and is not the responsibility of BUCS.

You can apply for camping on BUCS Play. If there is an over subscription, the organisers will select those who are able to camp.
