Event Guide

Registration

The Championships will run over 2 days.  Registration will be in the Clubhouse at Orston Shooting Ground and will be clearly signposted. Failure to register and start by the stated times will result in disqualification from the competition. No new entries or substitutions will be accepted on the day of competition. Scorecards must be submitted at your specific stand by the times detailed below.

Each competitor will shoot 100 birds over 13 stands in squads of 6. Please refer to the squadding lists for your start time.

Once your squad has started the competition, please ensure that you complete the course before returning to the club house. A period of 2 hours has been allocated to the morning and afternoon sessions. The below table outlines the latest times that completed scorecards can be returned.

Score Cards

Each squad will be issued with a score card at registration. The competitor at PEG 1 will be responsible for the card.  Please make sure that you complete the cards in full and add each competitor’s final score up before submitting to the Results Desk. To prevent delaying the presentations competitors are required to submit their cards immediately after finishing by the times stated above.

Presentations

The medal presentation will take place after the last session has finished and the scores have been collated on Sunday 5 December 2021.

 

Cartridges

Competitors must supply their own cartridges (up to 28g). There will be some available for sale at the West Midlands Shooting Ground. The shop is open from 9am-5pm on Saturday. Plastic and fibre cartridges are permitted.

Safety

All competitors are required to provide their own ear protection in line with CPSA guidelines. Competitors must ensure that protective eyewear is worn. It is the responsibility of each competitor to ensure the safety of his/her gun and the organisers will accept no responsibility in this respect. Gun storage will be available at the West Midlands Shooting Ground on request. Valid shotgun licences must be available on demand.

Catering

All competitors are responsible for providing their own food and drink throughout the competition. There is a café at the venue where refreshments can be purchased.

Alcohol Consumption

Any alcohol consumption on site during the competition is strictly prohibited.  Any competitor failing to adhere to this regulation will be automatically disqualified from the competition and asked to leave the venue.
