Single Entry
This competition will NOT operate a staged entry process. As such, please ensure all entries are submitted through BUCS Play prior to the closing date listed above.
Entry Allowance
Institutions can request two guaranteed entries (which must meet the equivalent entry standard) and two non-guaranteed entries. For 3 or 4 entries, ALL 3 or 4 athletes must meet the equivalent entry standard. Entry standards must be achieved between 1st January 2024 and 31st March 2026 inclusive.
However, should the event reach capacity, BUCS may need to restrict the number of entries per institution. In this circumstance, Institution Administrators will be contacted.
BUCS Play will only allow an Institution Administrator to enter 2 athletes as guaranteed.
For non-guaranteed athletes, if an institution enters more than 2 athletes as non- guaranteed (3 and 4 athletes) these athletes will be automatically moved to the reserve list and be subject to the £2 reserve entry fee.
Institution Administrators MUST rank their non-guaranteed entries before the IA entry deadline. Any unranked non-guaranteed athletes will be moved to the reserve list, and the institution will not be permitted a 3 and 4 athlete in that discipline.
For example, if you enter 4 athletes in the non-guaranteed entry you must rank them 3,4,5 and 6. BUCS will move 5 and 6 onto the reserve list.

Reserves
Reserves can be submitted on BUCS Play for this event. These individuals will be able to be substituted into the competition if there is a reason for withdrawal of another athlete. They must still meet the criteria mentioned above and have a relevant Power of 10 link or equivalent provided upon entry. Please check to see if your profile is on the World Athletics website, if it is, please use that in preference to Power of 10, as that is still a work in progress. All entries will be checked.
Reserves will be charged £2 per entry to cover administrative costs.
Following the closure of entries and any subsequent checking of Best Performances, athletes on the reserve list will not be allowed to be substituted into an event from which they have previously been rejected if the reason for rejection was failing to provide a Best Performance within the qualifying period, failing to provide a Power of 10 link (or equivalent results link) or not meeting the required entry standard where standards are necessary.
The deadline for informing BUCS of a substitution of a reserve into the competition is 12 noon 15th April 2026. This MUST be emailed to Maddi Cannell before this deadline.
Accepted / Rejected Entries Spreadsheet
The accepted / rejected entries spreadsheet will be published on Tuesday 7th April 2026 alongside the event guide. The rejection appeals window will remain open until Thursday 9th April 2026 at 23:59 Please note:
- No late entries will be accepted regardless of reason.
- Any entry without a Po10 link (or equivalent) will be rejected.
- Entries that do not meet an Entry Standard will be rejected.
- Entries without a BP achieved between 1st January 2024 and Tuesday 31st March 2026 inclusive will be rejected.
