The Women’s National League final sees two giants of the women’s university game take centre stage at Sixways Stadium. It’s Edinburgh vs Hartpury.

Hoping to lead their teams to victory, the teams are coached by huge names in the world of rugby. For Edinburgh, it is Sweden Women’s Rugby Head Coach Claire Cruikshank and for Hartpury it’s England International Natasha ‘Mo’ Hunt.

It’s been Mo Hunt who has got the better of her opposing Head Coach this season as Hartpury have beaten Edinburgh in convincing fashion both times, keeping the Scottish powerhouses to just five points in both fixtures.

Despite this, Edinburgh have scored the most points in the Women’s National League with a total of 294 across 10 games.

The top three try scorers in the league are from Edinburgh and Hartpury. Edinburgh winger Cieron Bell is top of the three with 12, followed by teammate Meryl Smith with 11, and Hartpury captain Sophie Bridger with 10.

Smith, a Scottish international currently taking part in the TikTok Women’s Six Nations, is also the top point scorer with 116 in the Women’s National League.

It promises to be a thriller of a final between two of the best sides in the women’s university rugby game.

The Women’s National League Final kicks off at 4.45pm and is followed by the BUCS Super Rugby Final at 7.30pm. Make sure to grab your ticket to the finals on Wednesday 13 April at Sixways Stadium here.
