Team GB Students are getting ready to tumble, twist, and take on the world — the Artistic Gymnastics squad for Rhine-Ruhr 2025 is officially announced! 🇬🇧✨
Representing universities across the UK, this group of elite student gymnasts are set to dazzle in Germany with power, precision, and unbelievable skill. With both men’s and women’s squads packed with talent, the stage is set for something special.
Team Lead Stephanie Murray said "The World University Games are a fantastic celebration of sport at the highest level, and it's a real honour to see our gymnasts representing their country on this stage."
It’s a unique opportunity; not only to gain international experience, but also to compete in a multi-sport environment, which is something gymnasts rarely get to do."
Being part of a wider team alongside athletes from other sports makes this experience even more special. The gymnasts and coaches have been working incredibly hard, and they’re all really looking forward to getting out to Germany and showing what they can do."
🤸♂️ Men’s Artistic Gymnastics
- Luke Marsh – University of Nottingham
BUCS All Around Champion this year and All Around English Championship fifth placed, Luke’s strength and style make him a key asset in the men’s team. - Michael Goddard – Leeds Beckett University
2024 Under 18 English All Around Champion Michael is known for clean lines and calm execution, he will bring a steady presence and high scoring potential. 2 - Cameron Lynn – University of Stirling
Cameron is a 5 time Scottish champion, 2022 Commonwealth team finalist and World Challenge Cup silver medalist on floor and all-around, adding to the stacked team heading to Germany. - Sam Mostowfi – University of Nottingham
Sam is a World Cup Finalist, British Floor Champion 2021 and a 3 x BUCS Champion. Sam will prove to be an exciting all-around competitor. - Luke Whitehouse – Leeds Beckett University

🤸♀️ Women’s Artistic Gymnastics
- Emily Burke – University of Southampton
Emily is a Northern European Vault Finalist 2024 and will bring elegance, strength, and poise to the women’s team, with standout routines across the board. - Crystelle Lake – University of Stirling
2025 All-around Senior Scottish Champion and Bars Champion, 2023 Northern European Floor Silver medalist and Qualified for the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games, Crystelle’s energy, expression, and technical flair make her a major contender for top scores. - Shanna-Kae Grant – Leeds Beckett University
A BUCS champion and Welsh championships Shanna-Kae is a gymnast known for her presence and precision, adding both power and grace to the squad.
🌟 Athlete Spotlight: Luke Whitehouse
One of the most recognisable names on the plane to Germany and joining gymnastics team, Luke Whitehouse is set to lead the charge for GB Students in Rhine-Ruhr. Currently studying at Leeds Beckett University, Luke is an Olympic Gymnast, competing at Paris 2024, a multiple British Champion and has competed at a World Cup and European level, earning medals for Team GB.
Luke is a triple time European floor champion winning back to back to back in 2023, 2024 and 2025 becoming one of only two men to achieve three consecutive titles in the event. In the team events this year he was also part of the team to achieve bronze at the 2025 European championships where he helped Britain win their third ever European team title.
Known for his jaw dropping floor routines and massive difficulty scores, Luke brings elite experience and big-stage confidence and will no doubt be a crowd favourite in Germany.
With a team this strong, GB Students are looking to fly high both literally and on the scoreboard as they face off against top student gymnasts from around the globe.
