THE CLUB
The University of Warwick Lacrosse club is one of the largest clubs at the university
with over 100 members. We operate on the university campus’ sand-based and tarkett (3G) pitches with our training sessions on four evenings per week. Our club consists of 7 teams, including 4 BUCS teams and 2 development teams, split evenly between men and women. As well as split gender teams we have a mixed team, which competes in a local league. We are passionate about providing access to lacrosse for a wide range of abilities, ranging from those who are new starters, and those who have played for years.
WORKING HOURS
Hours per week can be negotiated (with initial discussion being around coaching at two sessions per week which are 1.5-2 hours)
Term times are as follows:
September preseason (20th September 2021 – 1st October 2021)
Term 1 (4th October 2021- 11th December 2021)
Term 2 (10th January 2022 - 19th March 2022)
Term 3 (25th April 2022- 2nd July 2022)
COACHING RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a knowledgeable and passionate individual to join the University of Warwick’s Lacrosse team as a part-time coach for the Women's BUCS team as of September 2021.
As coach you will be primarily responsible for the coaching and progression of the first team, for which you will coach 2 sessions a week. You will be expected to work alongside the captain and vice-captain to deliver sessions which will help the team to reach their full potential. We also ask that you attend some matches on a Wednesday to help you to further understand the needs of the team.
Although this role is open to all coaches who are experienced in coaching and/or playing, the ideal candidate would have coaching and umpiring qualifications or intend to gain these.

This coaching role is a self-employed opportunity and therefore any successful candidate will only be contracted for services on a self- employed basis. To be registered as a self- employed Coach at the University of Warwick you are required to submit the following information:
- Public liability insurance
- Unique Tax Reference number (UTR)
- A completed Coaching Pack (This will be sent to the successful candidate)
The role is to start w/o 20th September 2021. However, this may also be up to be changed depending on applicants availability.
