Description
The Rugby Development Officer acts as the lead to develop rugby across the University and to help implement strategies to enhance the Rugby participation offering at Warwick.
Our RDO needs to have the ability to create opportunities to increase participation and develop our current non-BUCs rugby provisions.
The RDO will build strong and effective relationships with our Active volunteers, constituent bodies for coaching and referee qualification opportunities and develop strong external relationships that you will use to support the growth and development of rugby participation at Warwick.
The role will aim to improve the quality of experience for novice players engaging in the activity, support aspiring coaches and referees to gain the relevant qualifications, and creation and implementation of rugby festivals and intramural leagues with the aims to build a sense of community and belonging within the rugby offering here at Warwick.
The role will report into the Sport Engagement Officer to assist in this work and work collaboratively with other RFU staff, regionally and nationally, to ensure effective and co-ordinated local delivery of Rugby.
