Description

The coach will need to plan and deliver training sessions twice a week, as well as attend and help out at matches where possible. Both of our clubs have had recent promotions and so have great ambition and drive to succeed in these new leagues and are looking for a coach to match these values and help club development. Therefore, applicants will need to have a high level of hockey knowledge and a good amount of coaching experience.

Applicants will need to be free from the beginning of the season. Applicants must be free for the weekly training sessions on Mondays (17:30 - 21:00) and Fridays (18:00 - 22:00) throughout the season.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver intense and advanced training sessions twice a week.

• Attend Saturday matches to support the teams by providing tactics and feedback, and coaching pitchside.

• If available, attend Wednesday matches to provide support, and if not, then give a detailed match plan to the players beforehand.

• Regular communication with lower team coach

• Constant support for players moving up/ down teams

• Constant communication with players, captains and Warwick Sport

• An ambassador for the Clubs as well as Warwick Sport and the University.

The Role:

- Report to the Ladies’/ Men’s Club Captain and work closely with the relevant team captain.

- The M1’s play on Saturday in the Midlands Men’s Division 1 and in BUCS have been promoted into the Men’s Premier North. M2’s play on Saturday in the Midlands Men’s Division 3 and in BUCS they play in the Men’s Midlands Tier 2.

- The L1’s play on Saturday in the Midlands Women’s Division 3 South East and in BUCS have recently been promoted to ICG Women’s Midlands Division 1A. L2’s play on Saturday in the Midlands Women’s Division 4 Arden, and in BUCS they play in the ICG Women’s Midlands Division 3B.
