Description
The University of Warwick has an amazing campus, with world class sports facilities for our 65 student sports clubs, staff members and our local community to enjoy. Warwick Sport is passionate about using this platform to have a positive impact and the successful applicant will be joining and collaborating with the wider Warwick Sport team based at the Sports and Wellness Hub but will be expected to work across all our sports facilities on campus.
The breadth of this role provides a great opportunity for candidates both within or outside the Higher Education sector who are excited by the opportunity to work with a diverse group of athletes from Paralympians and others performing on the international stage through to development teams and first time participants in student sports clubs. An ability to forge and maintain strong internal and external partnerships for mutual benefit is central to success in the role, including our colleagues at Warwick Students Union within the Sports Partnership and wider partners that include TASS, Wasps Netball and BUCS.
Our journey towards greater alignment of our club and performance sport programme continues and candidates will notice that the application portal refers to the role of Performance Sport Manager. Candidates should note that while performance sport is a vital element of this role there will be an equal balance in activity between the club and performance areas within Warwick Sport.
If this role excites you but you would like a little more information or an informal conversation about the role please contact Iain Mckinney (Head of Sport and Active Lifestyles) via email on [email protected]
