Description
Strathclyde Sport is the heart of sport and active health at the University of Strathclyde, with the vision of being the most active city centre campus in the UK. Since opening in September 2018, our impact on delivering an outstanding student sporting experience has been incredible, witnessing continual growth of student engagement in club sport alongside a growing list of student-athletes competing and medalling on the world stage.
This role is an exciting opportunity to build on the exemplary reputation of Strathclyde’s Performance Sport support to its student-athletes through academic flexibility, pastoral welfare, mentoring and lifestyle management.
To be considered for this role, you are expected to have experience in similar mentoring capacity within a multi-agency environment. You will have an innovative solution focussed approach in a rapidly evolving landscape, underpinned by skills in empathy, negotiation and collaboration.
The role requires to monitor and positively influence the wellbeing of the student-athletes across both their sporting and academic endeavours.
As this is the first iteration of a standalone role dedicated to Performance Lifestyle, you must be pro-active, innovative and dynamic in developing the service as the Performance Programme evolves.
