The University of Nottingham Sport are seeking to appoint a passionate and motivated Sport Volunteer Officer, who will develop and implement the delivery of student leadership and personal development through sport and volunteering.
The successful candidate will lead on the development of our students and enhance the support we give them internally through career development, training and mentoring to better support the delivery within the university and wider community. They will also have a good knowledge of working with school education and higher education sectors and the barriers facing students to engage with volunteering.
Key responsibilities will include recruitment of students and to manage and deliver a wide range of events and volunteering opportunities to reach targeted student audiences. The ability to form and maintain working relationships with a range of internal and external partners and stakeholders will be crucial. You will also be an individual who can work proactively with a high level of initiative, engaging collaboratively with the wider Sport team. Additionally, the successful candidate will need to be flexible in their approach to their working week, noting that some evening and weekend work may be required.
This position is offered on a fixed term contract until 14 October 2024.
Hours of work are part time, between 28 and 32 hours per week over at least 4 working days. Days can be flexible however, this will need to fit around the priorities of the role. Please specify in your application the number of preferred hours.
