Description

The University of Nottingham has invested significantly into its sporting infrastructure, with a £40m Sports Village and substantial investment into its coaching and development support for our 75 sports clubs and 120+ active teams. The University placed 2nd overall in the BUCS league table in 2018-19 and were awarded The Sunday Times Good University Guide Sports University of the Year 2019 and 2021.

The University of Nottingham Volleyball Club consists of 6 BUCS teams. The two performance squads compete in Premier North (the top level of BUCS Volleyball). The women’s team will compete in the NVL Super League while the men’s team will compete in NVL Division 1 for the 2021/22 season.

We are currently seeking an experienced Volleyball Head Coach for the 2021/22 academic year. The head coach will deliver an innovative and effective Volleyball programme to support the development of elite and competitive Volleyball within the club. The Head Coach will ideally hold at least a Level 2 coaching qualification or significant experience at international playing level. The Head Coach will lead on both the men’s and women’s performance volleyball programmes, however it is possible to tender for the men’s and women’s programmes separately for the right candidate(s). The deliverer must also hold appropriate personal liability insurance.

The minimum hours of the contract is 620 (Men’s 310 & Women’s 310) over a 40 week period, which will include coaching delivery, attendance at matches, club development, recruitment, administration, and coach mentoring, however additional hours can be tendered for if deemed necessary to achieve the required outcomes that will be set out in the tender document.
