Description
The University of Nottingham are seeking to appoint an inspirational and highly motivated Club Development Officer to support the strategic and sustainable development of our sports clubs in line with the emerging University of Nottingham Vision for Sport.
Key responsibilities include:
- working with student club committees, coaches, and internal and external partners to deliver the best possible student sporting experience across a range of clubs, including developing high-quality partnerships and targeted action plans.
- The successful candidate will deliver training and education to the student sports club committees and ensure clubs are connected to wider sporting programs.
- You will also support the implementation of club related projects and enable them to successfully manage their finances through the development and delivery of income generating initiatives.
- To drive the highest quality delivery for our students, you will have demonstrable experience of working in a sports club environment and have a strong understanding of the structures of university sport.
- You will also have experience of working with sports coaches and national governing bodies of sport or other sporting organisations.
- You will possess a Sports related degree or demonstrate equivalent experience working in sports development and a TALS qualification would be desirable.
- You will be an enthusiastic and dynamic individual with a passion for student sport who can work proactively with a high level of initiative.
- You will also engage collaboratively with the wider team in a positive, solution-focused, and forward-thinking manner.
Additionally, candidates will need to be flexible in their approach to their working week, noting that evening and weekend work will be required.
This is a permanent, full-time post (36.25 hours per week).
