The University of Hertfordshire Sports Village is seeking an Operations Manager to lead a busy operations team where the needs of our customers, from first experience to elite, are at the heart of everything we do.
What are the main duties & responsibilities?
Alongside our other Operations Manager, you will be responsible for a service excellence focused operation, where the needs of the customer are central to everything we do. Managing the day to day running of our operation, through proactive line management of a team of Duty Managers, you will manage multi-functional facilities and all operational staff. What skills & experience do I need?
• You will be a motivated and proactive individual with excellent leadership and people management skills.
• You can motivate and lead a team of staff ensuring attention to detail with customer experience at the center of delivery.
• You can build effective working relationships at all levels with ease, are approachable and flexible in style.
• You have supervisory operational experience in a large ‘wet and dry’ leisure facility.
• Proven track record of solving problems and thinking on your feet.
• You’re up to date with current Health and Safety industry practices.
• You have managed a budget in the past and can proactively manage an operation in line with a budget.

What education and qualifications are required?
• NVQ level 2 or above / 3 A levels at grade A-C (or equivalent proven experience)
• National Pool Management Qualification or previously held/current NPLQ
• Event Management experience and/or qualification
