Description

University of Essex in collaboration with the FA, are seeking an accomplished individual to lead and drive the development of coaches in the East region, working at both grassroots and the elite level of the women’s and girls’ game.

The role will drive collaboration between the HEI, local football providers and County FA(s), to support the successful development of a creative & effective coach development programme to provide female players with consistent and fit for purpose coaching.

You should have an UEFA B Coaching Licence and a strong understanding of the FA Women’s Football & National Game Strategy; this also includes knowledge of the FA DNA, LTPD-4 corner model, and coaching and learning philosophies. You must also possess experience in football development within the female game, player development and building coach education and development programmes that are sensitive to the needs of adult learners.

You will have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisation skills and be able to balance a diverse and varied work programme to meet multiple University and FA group objectives.

Importantly, the position requires a strong passion/interest in women’s football, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to continuous professional development.
