Description

The East London Phoenix Franchise is one of the four founding teams of the newly established, world’s first, professional Women’s Premier League. The franchise is also the University of East London’s first sports franchise that that aims to promote and support talent wherever it is found.

UEL are looking for a highly driven and athlete focused coach who will lead, shape and design the wheelchair basketball programme and set the cornerstone for all future university franchise teams. Working with British Wheelchair Basketball as part of the new High Performance Partnership, the Head of Wheelchair Basketball, supported by our world class elite athlete practitioners, academic staff and East London Sport team, will have a platform to create a truly inclusive athlete centred elite talent pathway for wheelchair basketball in London and the South East.

The East London Sport team is based at UEL’s Docklands campus, hybrid working is possible where appropriate but most of this role will require attendance on court at the SportsDock.
