STUDENT SPORT AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR REF: SP541
Salary on appointment will be £26,910 per annum, with an annual increment up to £27,633 per annum.
UEA+sport enables holistic sports delivery across a range of programmes including:
• Participation (Active Campus)
• Ziggurat
• Local League competition
• BUCS
• National and Elite level competition
This is in addition to enabling workforce enhancement through its’ award-winning Volunteer Academy project, club alumni engagement, social activities, events, fundraising and community engagement.
The uea+sport team also works closely with local, regional and national partners to enhance independent programme pathway development.
You will join two other existing Sport and Physical Activity Development Coordinators in supporting the enhancement of our student sport clubs to develop and achieve their aims and progress their achievements to a higher level.
In this role, you will be responsible for up to 20 student clubs and their holistic development, undertaking projects that may include:
• Social media and marketing
• Events
• Workforce development
• Mental health and wellbeing
• IMS development
• Performance programme activity (including scholarship and alumni development)
You will play an integral role in the delivery of the Active Campus participation programme that is vital to the continued delivery of sport and physical activity to over 50% of the student body.
You will have a degree in a sports related field (or equivalent qualification) and/or experience in the HE sporting sector, together with experience of working in a sport development related role and of setting up and establishing new initiatives.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are essential.
