General Details:
The University of Dundee Women’s Rugby Club is currently seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced coach to work with the club for the 2022/23 season.
The team trains Tuesday’s 18:30-20:00 and Friday’s 17:00-18:30 from the start of September to the end of November and mid-January to the end of March.
It is preferred that applicants are available to attend university matches which take place on Wednesday afternoons from the start of October to the end of March although this is not essential.
The role is self-employed and paid at an hourly rate, dependent upon qualifications and experience, which will be discussed with the successful candidate.
Person Specification:
- Experience and success in coaching competitive adult teams
- UKCC Level 2
- Availability for Tuesday’s 18:30-20:00 and Friday’s 17:00-18:30 training sessions
- Availability to attend all/majority of Wednesday matches (desirable)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Planning and delivery of technical training sessions to players on a weekly basis
• Match-day preparation and tactics
• Regular evaluation of team performance
• Regular communication with team captain
• To be a suitable ambassador for the club and University
