Description
- Fitness Instructors will be part of a team working shifts including evenings and weekends.
- They will supervise the Fitness Suite, liaise with users and issue and check memberships.
- They will conduct Inductions and Fitness Assessments, undertake Personal Training and instruct exercise classes. Extensive experience working as a fitness instructor /personal trainer in a sports/fitness facility is therefore essential.
- They will perform routine inspection, maintenance and cleaning of equipment and prepare areas for a range of activities.
- There will be reception and administration duties such as operation of the booking and membership systems and cash handling.
- They will also assist Duty Supervisors in all aspects of sports services operations.
- The role will involve shift work, evenings and weekend hours on a three week flexible shift pattern.
- There is a wide and diverse client base with a large number of international students. Excellent customer service skills, communication and the ability to work flexibly and as part of a team are essential.
- The successful applicant will have a range of GCSEs (minimum of 5) or equivalent experience, Gym Instructor (NVQ Level 2) Qualification and a First Aid at Work qualification.
- They will also have an understanding of Health & Safety issues applied to sport.
