Location: home-based, with occasional travel to Football Foundation offices.
This is an exciting role for someone who is passionate about sports development to use their project management skills to support the development of programmes that will directly benefit grassroots community football.
About the Football Foundation :
We’re the Football Foundation - the Premier League, the FA and government’s charity delivering upon a shared vision to help communities improve their local football facilities through grants. We’re the only example of a partnership between a national Government and a national sport coming together to support communities throughout the country. Over the last 20 years we’ve been busily planting the seeds to grow grassroots football, transforming communities where demand is greatest, and impact will be strongest. We have worked closely with local authorities, County FAs and other passionate people in communities up and down the country to deliver over 17,000 sports projects worth over £1.8 billion and we’ve got big plans to revolutionise England’s grassroots facilities over the next decade.
The role :
As the Programmes Officer role -
- You will provide critical support to the Programmes Team in their work developing and refining programmes to enable delivery against our priorities in the National Football Facilities Strategy (NFFS).
- You will oversee the day-to-day management of the Premier League Fans Fund Small Grants Scheme and will support the management of the Large Grants Scheme, including managing monitoring and evaluation of the schemes supporting the management of panel meetings.
- You will develop and maintain relationships with representatives of the Premier League, FA, English Football League, Players Football Association, Sport England and National League and other Leagues and organisations and stakeholders that would benefit from the schemes.
- You will also support the management and delivery of the Active Through Football Programme, including liaising with grant recipients to support them to meet the requirements of their grant award.
- You will also provide support as needed across the Programmes team on the design and development of new and existing programmes, and over time we expect you will have the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of programmes.

- You must have strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience of communicating with and supporting a diverse range of colleagues and customers remotely.
