This is an exciting and varied role for someone who is highly organised and proficient in managing multiple tasks and conflicting priorities.
The role will provide administrative support to the Competition and Events team and the wider Development department, support the organisation of a range of competitions and events locally and nationally and work closely with the table tennis community, particularly volunteers.
The role will assist in the planning and delivery of a national programme of competition and events which will provide varied and exciting work. This could include talking to and liaising with competition organisers and volunteers, organising and co-ordinating logistics for some of the highest profile and visible table tennis competitions and events in England and ensuring the many different priorities are kept on track.
The role is vital to ensuring the competition and events programme provide opportunities for new players to the sport to access high quality competition and that competition encourages retention in the sport, at a local and national level. You will also be responsible for ensuring all systems and processes linked to competitions and events are working effectively and are managed correctly.
You will be working across the Development team and with the Pathway team to ensure that local delivery of competition is organised to the highest level and runs smoothly by supporting competition organisers.
The key responsibilities outlined in the Job Application, provide detail into what the role will entail but may alter from time to time to support other members of the team particularly in busy periods and where there is sickness or holidays.
There’s an expectation that you will support on site at the National Senior Championships, but the role is mainly office based with very little weekend work. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
