English Universities Sport (EUS) is the official association in England which administrates and sanctions national representative student competition across higher education. We are a democratic and innovative membership organisation, comprising of a strong Committee, exceptional coach network and professional support staff from the sport and higher education sectors. EUS strives to support the development of all its student athletes and provide opportunities to compete at the highest domestic representative level. Our teams compete in the biennial Home Nations Tournament as well as numerous fixtures against professional and amateur representative clubs from across the UK.
The Student Trustee Role
+ Represent the student athlete voice in all strategic meetings
+ Contribute to long-term planning discussions, with a student-athlete mindset
+ Help shape EUS programmes to reflect student needs & preferences
+ Be the communication bridge between the trustee board & wider student community
+ Act as a representative & spokesperson for EUS at key events
+ Should be a current student sabbatical officer, or in a student leadership position
Required Skills, Experience & Knowledge:
+ Current or recent student status with experience in university-level sport
+ Understanding of the challenges faced by student athletes
+ Ability to communicate confidently in meetings & represent peers
+ Interest in governance, leadership, or non-profit work
+ Willingness to learn about charity or organisational structures
+ Good time management & reliability

The application deadline is 12pm on Wednesday 9th July 2025, and role elections will take place on Tuesday 15th July 2025 at 5.30pm during EUS AGM (BUCS Conference, University of Hull).
