We are looking for a new team member with drive and commitment to help us enhance activity levels and sports participation amongst our student and staff community.
The Sport Development Officer will join a small team within the Sport & Recreation Service, and will have specific responsibility for organising and supporting student sports teams, developing the intra-mural sport programme and delivering a range of social sports opportunities at the campus in Hendon, North London.
The role will be challenging, as we have numerous barriers to participation, but there’s lots of scope to showcase your skills and utilise your experience in meeting our service objectives. The role holder will be responsible for a small team of student interns, and play a key role supporting our sports captains with the competitive sports programme. Our key focus is on enhancing participation levels in sport and physical activity, for the numerous health, wellbeing and social benefits this can bring. You’ll ideally have experience of working in a similar environment with a diverse community and be able to demonstrate a track record of delivering successful outcomes. You’ll have good inter-personal and leadership skills, a collaborative approach, and the ability to build relationships across a wide range of stakeholders. You’ll have energy and enthusiasm and an approach that reflects our values and principles and a clear commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
