Sports Club Development Coordinator Our Opportunities Team support students with all of the sports clubs and societies available to UWE Bristol Students during their time at university.
We have 45 different sports clubs, and over 50 competitive teams for students to join and engage with during their time at UWE Bristol.
This positions reports to, and is supported by, the Club Development Manager. The wider Opportunities Team is supported by the Opportunities Manager.
We are currently recruiting for a Sports Club Development Coordinator.
The Sports club development coordinator will be responsible for delivering the BUCS leagues and knockout programme, whilst also developing the sports club offering and processes.
This role will be involved in development and delivery of high-quality committee training for all sports clubs.
This would include the analysis of membership numbers against previous years, engagement levels and analysing why changes have occurred, producing graphs, charts and comparison reports and developing initiatives to improve engagement.
This position will also support the VP Sports & Health with their manifesto, sports conferences and support them alongside a project working group to organise the annual Sports awards.
Day to day this position will support with lots of general administration and engagement duties in addition to the developmental aspects of the role above.
Annually, the Sports Club Development Coordinator will support and engage with organisational wide initiatives including: Elections, Welcome and Freshers/ Welcome Fairs, Speak Week, Sports Awards, Societies Awards and other key organisational projects.
We are looking for a proactive, engaging and approachable individual with a strong administrative skill set and the ability to deliver high quality in-person training.
This individual will also need to be willing to under-go training to deliver workshops, such as Mental Health in Sport and Alcohol Awareness.

Additional Information:
Grade: 3.1
Rate of Pay: £24, 730
Hours per Week: 37 hours per week, working 5 out of 7 days.
* Given the nature of the position, weekend and evening work will be required to achieve the desired outcomes at key times of the year
Duration: 22 month fixed term contract from start date.
Location: Based at Frenchay Campus.
The postholder will be required to work at, or from any of the Union’s establishments.
