Description
Currently based at South Kensington Campus, the post holder will support the Head of Sport Development in the delivery of the development requirements for the Physical Activity and Sport strategy. This post will be responsible for working with sports clubs across Imperial to complete development plans and monitor the action plans created, providing expert advice and support. There will be a desire to develop a focus sport offering which this post will lead on.
In addition, this post will project manage key annual sports’ events. The post holder will have staff management responsibility, lead on the completion of sports club development plans, linking to the Be Active Strategy aims and objectives. You will provide ongoing support, maintaining and developing strong relationships with student sports clubs. The role will work alongside the Strength and Conditioning Lead Coach to manage the Performance Sports Clubs, specifically leading on the recruitment and development of performance coaches. The role will also involve project managing core departmental events including, Varsity (Internal and External), Sports Awards and the student Welcome Week sports programme.
You will be the departmental lead on BUCS, EUSA and FISU related matters and be responsible for budget management of the Move Imperial allocation to Sports Hub (Club funding support, coaching, facility hire) and sports events. To be considered for this post you must have experience of working within a fast-paced environment and have experience of effectively managing and providing leadership for staff.
