Queen Mary University of London Students’ Union (the Students’ Union) is a representative campaigning organization providing high quality services, activities, and opportunities for Queen Mary University of London students. The Students’ Union’s mission is ‘Together, we improve students’ lives’ and works towards objectives such as improving the community on campus, providing better representation, and supporting and developing students.
QMSU Services Limited is the wholly-owned subsidiary of the charity (QMSU –the Students’ Union). Carrying on the business as a commercial social purpose company, the services are provided principally for students, staff, and guests of the University.
Qmotion is the Students’ Union run Sport & Fitness Centre, located on the Mile End campus and provides students, staff and the wider community with diverse and inclusive fitness facilities and services to enable an active lifestyle.
We are seeking a skilled andhighly-motivated individual to assist with the successful operation of the Sport & Fitness Centre.
You will assist with the day-to-day operational management of the front of house/reception area, ensuring the customer perception of our front of house area and staff is positive at all times.
The post holder will need to ensure that whilst on shift that the front of house area operates in accordance with the standards, values and objectives of Qmotion and QMSU.
The facilities are open seven days per week, and this role will incorporate the working of unsociable hours including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
To excel in this role, it is essential that you have experience in a front-of-house role in a busy customer facing environment. This is an exciting developmental role for an experienced front of house team member who is looking to progress into a more supervisory role.
The post is a full-time permanent appointment. Starting salary will be between , £26,494 - £30,685 per annum per annum, inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, plus university closure days, free gym membership, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.
