The performance sport officer role provides an exciting opportunity for you to play a critical role in our performance sport environment at UWE Bristol.

You will support the co-ordination, development, and administration of the recruitment of performance athletes for the programme. You will work closely with the Head of Performance and Heads of our performance sports, and this role will drive the profile of UWE Performance Sport as a University of choice to potential students, schools, and other external organisations.

As well as this you will serve as the primary point of contact for prospective student-athletes seeking scholarship support, guiding them through the application process. You will assist with the management of scholarship athletes at the university, establishing athlete agreements, monitoring engagement, and providing necessary support.

About you: The successful candidate will possess exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal confidently and professionally with both internal and external customers, from all levels of an organisation. You will possess high level communication skills and have an ability to work with precision and accuracy with great attention to detail and creative flair. A passion for higher education and university sport, experience of talented athlete lifestyle support, student recruitment and previous work with external partners is desirable.
