As a Recreation Assistant, you will work as part of the daily operations team to ensure the smooth and safe functioning of the day-to-day business at the Sports Centre.
The successful candidate will need to be suitably qualified and have experience in working within sport and the leisure industry.
A good knowledge of health and safety is essential.
It is a condition of employment that Recreation Assistants possess a current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification. Staff appointed without an HSE First Aid at Work Certificate must attend and pass a course as soon as possible after an offer of employment.
Working under the direction of our Shift Leaders and Duty Managers, you will patrol the Sports Centre, liaise with users and prepare our varied areas for a range of activities.
The position is Full time; applicants must be able to work shifts to include evenings and weekends and be subject to an enhanced DBS clearance.
