Description
The Football Development Team sits as part of the BUCS Development Team in the Delivery Directorate. As a Development Team we are passionate about developing innovative ways for our members to access the benefits of sport and physical activity. The BUCS Football Development Team has been funded by the Football Association since 2010 and as a team we are working towards a future in which any student, from any background can go to any university in the UK and have the opportunity to participate, compete and/or lead within football at a level and frequency appropriate to them.
As the Football Development Administrator, you will need to enjoy working as a team, proactively, at a fast pace and be passionate about the power of sport to significantly contribute to the experience of students and staff within our Higher Education member institutions. You will need to be organised, an excellent communicator, have genuine enthusiasm for the role and have strong attention to detail to help us ensure our team outputs are of the national quality our members deserve. While this is an administrative support role, there is scope for the correct candidate to grow within the role once these duties are completed.
This is a full-time, fixed term role in line with our current contract with the FA (to 31 July 2022) with a view to extending the role with the new cycle of funding until July 2023. BUCS and the FA have a 3-year strategic vision in place until the end of the 2024 season.
Please see this document for the full job description and person specification.
If you would like to discuss the role before application, please contact BUCS Football Development Manager Beth Jenkinson-Garner ([email protected]).
