Description
British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) is the national governing body for higher education (HE) sport in the UK. As a membership organisation BUCS delivers both sport competition and a wide range of sport development opportunities.
The main purpose of this role is to manage and deliver a successful programme of events across the BUCS sporting programme. Ensuring effective relationship management with key stakeholders to deliver high quality events to our member institutions and their students. This role also supports the Head of Events where appropriate and provides line management for two event coordinators.
We are looking for someone with initiative, who is efficient, has good attention to detail and can work both independently and as part of a wider team.
As BUCS gets back to delivering events after a reduced programme last year, this is a key role in the event delivery team at an exciting time for BUCS and HE sport.
A full job description and person specification can be found here.
If you would like to discuss the role prior to application, please contact Jo Smith, Head of Events, via email at [email protected].
The BUCS office is based in central London and there will be an ongoing requirement to visit the London office. However, our commitment is to hire the best candidates for the role, and we would be open to a conversation at interview about flexible working and how best this could be accommodated.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, BUCS staff are still working from home whilst gradually returing to the office. The appointed candidate will need to be able to work from home.
