The #TogetherInGolf network Aim:
We are recruiting volunteers to join our #TogetherinGolf network.
The purpose of this network is to listen to golfers who have had a wide range of experiences within golf, to inform our decision-making, to help golf continue to progress and grow the game.
Who are we looking for:
We are looking for golfers from all pathways and all golfer journeys to be part of a 15-20 strong network.
We’re looking for people who:
Essential
- Are involved within the golf community e.g., player, member, volunteer coach.
- Align with one or more of the following characteristics: Disabled person or person with a long-term health condition or neurological diverse condition
- Woman Young person (18-25)
- Ethnically diverse community LGBTQ+ Lower socio-economic background
Desirable:
- A strong commitment and genuine desire to make a difference in golf.
- Have experience of creating an inclusive culture within sport.
- Have experienced marginalisation within sport.
- Understand the benefits of physical activity on the wider health agenda.
Key responsibilities:
The group will meet 3 times per year, in a central location.
You will need to be:
- Confident to share your journey, experiences and what golf means to you.
- Be supportive with communications across social media channels.
- Prepared to contribute to a variety of areas within England Golf, including the development of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) toolkit, EDI messages, projects and initiatives.
External facilitators will host the meetings and the network will be managed and supported by our Lead Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Officer.
