Description

British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) is the national governing body for higher education (HE) sport in the UK. As a membership organisation BUCS delivers both sport competition and a wide range of sport development opportunities.

BUCS has an exciting opportunity for a senior leader to join the organisation as Director of Delivery. Covering all areas of BUCS delivery to the members and the students we serve, the role will help shape and deliver the new strategy for the organisation and ensure that BUCS remains relevant and impactful.

Critically, this role will seek to ensure the quality, diversity, appeal and uptake of the competitive sport, physical activity and people development pillars of the new strategy, and fully embed them across the directorate and organisation. It will require a strong and varied set of skills and experience but there is also great support and the chance to develop within the role.

BUCS is at a key milestone as we enter a new strategic cycle and, whilst there are clearly some external challenges facing us all at the moment, the new opportunities and passion across the sector to support students in their activity journey makes this a really exciting role to come in to.
