Description

British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) is the national governing body for Higher Education sport in the UK, representing over 150 HE institutions and delivering over 50 sport and physical activity programmes to the 2.4 million UK students a year.

BUCS is seeking a Deputy Chief Medical Officer (DCMO) to assist the Chief Medical Officer with the planning, selection and appointment of medical staff to the various BUCS domestic events throughout the season, as well as helping to manage the medical services and equipment for these events. The successful applicant will take on the role for one BUCS domestic events season, from appointment (June 2021) through to conclusion of the events (June 2022).  Post-holders may be reappointed for an additional season.

It is preferred that the successful applicant also be available towards the end of this season (2020-21) so the outgoing DCMO can ensure an efficient handover.

Nationals 18-20 February
Big Wednesday 23 March
It is expected the DCMO will be available to attend at least one of these events.
