As part of the Social Impact & Engagement (SIE) Directorate the aims are to enhance the civic engagement of the university. DMUsport vision is to transform our students by enabling them to have their proudest moments through leading an active lifestyle and in sport. Role: 

 The role of Competition Coordinator will join our team with the purpose of administering student activity at DMUsport, including but not limited to; BUCS leagues and events, Local League, Club training and performance team programmes.

The role will also be the main point of contact for student queries related to coordinating club competition, leagues and fixtures.

The role will work as part of the DMUsport team to help support and deliver the competition and training aspect of our DMUsport player pathway, working closely with the Sport Development Coordinator - Clubs to ensure efficient and effective club processes and delivery are in place across the academic year. Completing administration of DMU financial processes for BUCS leagues and events, Local League, Club training and performance team programmes and supporting the Sport Development Officer – Performance with administration for varsity and scholarship programs.

Ideal Candidate:

To be successful, you should be passionate about delivering consistent administration within a student sport environment.

You should have the ability to follow processes, be diligent with detail and hold good time management skills as the role requires you to adapt to demands and priorities on a daily basis.

You will need to be organised, as the role requires detailed planning, clear communication skills and the ability to engage with students, committees, coaches and a range of stakeholders as well as working closely with colleagues across the department.

The successful candidate will spend their initial time meeting stakeholders, reviewing & identifying process efficiencies, and implementing any changes ready for the 2022/23 academic season.
