Description
The role is a new post that will seek to:
- Take operational management of functions of the team, ensuring that all of the services of the department are working effectively and providing a great service to our members
- Drive the management of health, safety and wellbeing of our activities, ensuring that management systems are fit for purpose, reviewed regularly and complied with by our student groups
- Engage directly with student leaders, providing direct advice and guidance to activity organisers to ensure the activities they are putting on an appropriate and high quality
- Ensure that appropriate investigations are able to take place where standards of behaviour of students participating in activity drops below the standard expected and to apply appropriate actions to ensure that such issues are few and far between
- Line manage the current four posts within the Guild of Societies, Volunteering and Give it a Go functions, being responsible for the recruitment, management and development of team members
- Give support to the Head of Department in the development of the services and deputise in their absence
