The opportunity Part of the Sports Systems Team, the Head of Athletics will provide effective leadership, strategic planning and direction for the Athletics programme, incorporating all elements of the system including performance, club, junior/academy, opportunities to link with recreational and community provision and leading engagement with stakeholders and partners.
This is an exciting opportunity for a leader to work across a complete athletics system.
The performance programme has consistently placed athletes on the national and international stage and we regularly finish as a top 3 ranked institution at BUCS.
Based at NIAC, the programme plays host to several competitions and events throughout the year. Our long-established junior programme provides opportunities to hundreds of children to train and compete.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with the passion for everything an athletics programme can achieve to support objectives of performance, participation, student experience and recruitment, workforce development, income generation and civic engagement. You will be an experienced leader with the ability to work across several projects and work areas, providing direction and support to your team. You will be able to think strategically and translate this into reality to progress all elements of the athletics system.
