Description

Reporting to the Sport Development Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the student sports club programme and ensuring it provides a first class experience whilst operating within budgetary allowances.

You will directly line manage the sports coaches who deliver the programme activity and work alongside colleagues from other teams to deliver the programme.

You will contribute to wider sport development projects including the sport scholarship programme and football performance academy.

You will also be involved in delivery of recreational sport and physical activity opportunities that get the whole University community active as part of our Be Moved strategy.

You will provide leadership and contribute to strategic action planning for sport and deputise for the Sport Development Manager where required.

We are looking for a lively, outgoing person who is a natural at engaging people. You will be confident in delivering sport and activities that can easily connect with students.

You will have experience managing people, projects and budgets organising logistics and handling multiple streams of work.

You must be flexible and adaptable and able to work occasional early morning, evening and weekend shifts as our programmes require.

 You may be educated to degree level but will have relevant professional experiences in the areas of sport development.
