Description
Reporting to the Business Services Manager, the role holder will be responsible for providing a high-quality day-to-day administration service for Saints Sport. The role has primary aims:
(i) providing high-quality business services support; (ii) inputting and maintaining critical information on business systems, including processing facility and transport bookings; (iii) coordinating the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) and Scottish Student Sport (SSS) fixtures programme and entries; (iv) processing purchase requisitions; (v) supporting with sports club administration.
The role holder will be pro-active, confident, and have excellent customer care skills. We value attention to detail and would welcome someone who has excellent organisational and time management skills with a proven record of managing multiple tasks and resolving complex situations.
You will work in a small but vital sub-team within Saints Sport that provides key operational frameworks to facilitate the delivery of the whole sport programme at St Andrews, supporting staff across the department and interacting with students and sports clubs on a daily basis.
We understand that you may not have specific experience in all elements of this role, but we are keen to see transferable skills and a proactive attitude to learning and professional development. We are seeking someone with previous experience of working in an office environment, proven knowledge of computerised booking systems, and capable of handling complex data and maintaining records in a spreadsheet-based database. We will provide training opportunities which will enable you to develop your skills in relevant areas and systems.
