The GB Student American Football Programme now invites all eligible athletes to apply to attend the Invitational Trials.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Students are officially registered as proceeding towards a Level 4 qualification (on the Framework for Higher Education Qualifications in England, Wales and Northern Ireland) or equivalent or above*
  • Be a national of the country they represent and hold full 10-year UK passport
  • Be at least 18 and no older than 25 years of age on 31 December of the year of the event. This means born between 1/1/1995 and 31/12/2002.

*Students graduating in 2019 will be eligible to compete in 2020, as former students who have obtained their qualification in the calendar year preceding the event.

Player Applications and Trial process

TRIALS
Invitational trials will take place on Saturday 21 March and Sunday 22 March 2020.
Players will be invited to attend after an evaluation of players measurable and film where available.

Players that have applied to trial that are in the BUCS Premiership National Championship game on 24 March, will have their trial waived and scouting will take place of these players at the event.

Can't make it to the trials?
If you are unable to attend the trials on these dates, a video application will still be considered. If this is how you wish to apply, please contact [email protected] upon submitting your film and measurables. 

Applications will be reviewed and an invitational trial list compiled.
Players who will be invited to the trials will be informed by Friday 13 March 2020.
Successful players will need to respond to confirm attendance by Sunday 15 March 2020.

At this point, players will be informed of the structure of the trial and respective documentation will be forwarded.
