Venue Information

LOCATION: Sheffield Hallam University Sports Park

PLAYING SURFACE: All matches will be played on artificial rubber crumb surfaces. Please bring appropriate footwear.

Timetable

The day will run as follows:

08:30am - REGISTRATION & ARRIVAL 

Teams are required to arrive, register and hand in a completed team sheet at this time. The team sheet must include player shirt numbers and Player Referee nominations.

09:00am - CAPTAIN’S BRIEFING

Team Captains to attend Event Control for a briefing.

09:30am - FIRST GAME KICK OFF TIME 

15:55pm - LAST GAME KICK OFF TIME

17:00 - 17:15pm - PRESENTATION CEREMONY

Presentations will take place in the Club Room, where the following trophies will be awarded:

● Cup - 1st Place

● Plate - 5th Place

● Bowl - 9th Place

● Most Valuable Players (Female & Male) (as voted for by opposition teams)

● Most Valuable Referee

The ETA would be very grateful if as many teams as possible stayed for the presentations as this adds to the atmosphere and allows teams to celebrate together.

18:00 - 18:30pm - EVENT CLOSED

The bar will close at 18:00pm and the venue will close at 18:30pm.

The below teams are accepted entries into the competition. Teams are listed in the order they are ranked for the pool draw:

Schedule & Format

The schedule for the day, along with the pool draw, can be found here.

The format will be as follows:

- There are 3 pools of 4 teams

- Teams will play their 3 pool games in the morning, and 3 further games in the afternoon.

- The top 8 teams will qualify for the Cup Quarter Finals. Winners of this will qualify for the Cup Semi Finals and losers will qualify for the Plate Semi Finals.

- The bottom 4 teams will play one another in a round robin format to determine the Bowl Pool winner.

Officiating

Player Referee slots will be allocated as per the Sport Specific Regulations. Due to the number of Full-Time Referees attending, it is unlikely that Player Referees will be required to facilitate the tournament but please be prepared regardless. Teams should ensure that their Player-Referees come prepared with a whistle.

At event registration, teams will be required to mark who their Player Referees are on their team sheet. Player Referee Allocations will be completed nearer the time of the event.

Withdrawals

As per the entry information, any withdrawals after the team join deadline of 13 October 2022 will still be charged their entry fee.

The schedule and format will not be revised and all the games relating to the withdrawn team will be recorded as a 'Bye'.
