The schedule for the competition is released on the morning of the competition to allow for any last minute dropouts. There may be a delay in the schedule due to redrawing the pools. Teams will be given a copy at the captains/ coaches briefing.

Withdrawal Fee

Should a team withdraw after the closing date, there will be a fine of £100 for every planned fixture that is missed.

Team Sheet Deadline

Once entries have closed all competitors must join their team on BUCS Play by Registration on Wednesday 27th April (please note this Team Sheet Deadline has been extended).

Instructions on how to do this can be found here – All reserves should also join the team in case of injuy/illness etc. Reserves not listed will not be able to be listed on the match day team sheet. No new names can be added after Registration on the day.

Match Day Team Sheets

All team captains or coaches must bring a paper team sheet to registration with their match day playing squad listed. A download of this can be found here:Rugby Sevens Team Sheet.xlsx 1

This team sheet can also be emailed in advance to [email protected]. Teams will still need to register on the day, but sending team sheets in advance will speed up the registration process.

Changing Rooms

There will be 10 changing rooms available at the Club House. These will be split into 6 Male and 4 Female rooms. Please note that due to the amount of teams, we will not be able to give each team their own changing room. Please do not leave valuables in the changing rooms, as these will not be locked. We advise all players to keep belongings with them at all times.

Artificial Grass Pitch

Depending on scheduling some matches might be scheduled on the Artificial Grass Pitch. Please note that blades are not permitted on the AGP. Spectators must watch from behind the AGP pitch fence.

Clubhouse - Upstairs

All players are requested to be respectful of the club and to change into clean clothing prior to entering this area.  The staff are allowed to politely ask players to adhere to this in line with the club policy. 

Food

Food will be available to purchase onsite. On the first floor there is a kitchen serving a Full English Breakfast, bacon butties, tea’s and coffee’s and other refreshments.

The bar will open to all from 11am onwards.

Dog Policy

West Park Leeds operate a no dog policy to ensure that the safety of the players are put at the forefront.  If you find that you have travelled with your dog then there is a nearby park where you can take your dog for a run around before securing them back in your car, with the window open.  (Golden Acre Park) just 5 minutes down the road or the field next to the Rugby Club.

Spectators

Spectators are welcomed at this event, we ask that spectators watch from behind the fences where applicable.

There is no charge for spectators and we are not selling tickets.

Lift & Accessibility

West Park Leeds have a lift located to the left of the main entrance with a disabled toilet on the ground and first floor.  A key to the toilet can be obtained behind the bar.  Disabled Parking Bays are located at the front of the club house.

Parking

There are plenty of car parking spaces, however, if you are arriving by coach then please park by the second team pitch in the area marked coaches.   Please do not park in the Ambulance bay but leave this space clear for access.  There are a number of disabled parking bays at the front of the club house.

Captains Pack

Each team will receive a captain’s pack which will include a timetable, venue plan, rules and regulations and general event information.

Plate

Timetable permitting we will be hosting a plate tournament for those teams that do not progress through to the knockout stages.
