All competitors must report to the weigh-in room at the designated time for their weight class.  There will be no separate registration. Weigh-in times can be found in the schedule.   

All competitors are required to bring their student ID to the weigh-in.

Rules and Regulations

These championships are run under International Powerlifting Technical Rules. IPF_Technical_Rules_Book_2023__1_.pdf (powerlifting.sport)  


Withdrawals after the entry closing date will still be charged the entry fee. Please inform your institution administrator who will contact the event lead.

No weight class changes are permitted on the day. 


Paid parking is available on-site and nearby. 

Changing Facilities, Toilets and Disability Access

Changing rooms and toilets are located in the sports hall.  Everything is on ground level with double doors for wheelchair access.  

Food and Drink

There is an adjacent on-site café serving a range of hot and cold food.

Anti Doping Testing

A selection of athletes chosen by the International Powerlifting Federation will be required to complete anti-doping testing at the event.  


Presentations will be made generally after each session. 

BUCS Points

Please refer to Appendix 1 for the BUCS Points available at this event. Please note, to be awarded BUCS Points you must have beaten another competitor within your weight category.   

Women's and Men's team results will be extracted from individual scores. A minimum of two competitors are required to compete in the event to constitute a team entry i.e. two women for Women's Team, two men for Men's Team.  

The winner for each team competition will be the institution with the highest accumulative total of individual points.  


Competitors must not leave the venue prior to the presentation without specific permission from a British Powerlifting official.
