Team & Event Information

Registration & Team Sheets

All teams must register upon arrival, and should be there at least one hour prior to their match start time. At this point teams will be directed to chnaging rooms and playing areas. Registration will be at the following;

  • Indoor Sports & Hockey - Sportspark
  • Outdoor Sports - Colney Lane Pavilion
  • Golf - Easton Golf Club
  • Tennis - Easton College Tennis Centre

NB: Please check the schedule/BUCS Play for where your final will take place.

All teams are required to submit their team sheets no later than 12.00pm Monday 9 March. These team sheets should include the match day squad and any reserves who may be called up last minute.

Alterations to the match day squad are permitted on the day but these individuals must be listed on the reserves list.

All students and staff must bring identification to ensure compliance with the team sheet and player movement regulations. Students unable to verify themselves may not be permitted to compete.

It is the responsibility of all institutions who teams are attending this event to ensure all students meet the BUCS eligibility criteria.  

Equipment & Officials

Teams should provide their own warm up and protective equipment. Match balls and equipment will be provided by UEA.

Water polo - there is a no-shoe policy pool side, so please ensure all competitors and staff have removed shoes before entering the facility.

Officials have been appointed by UEA, as per Appendix 5 and BUCS regulations.

Please note that if you anticipate a kit clash with your opposition, it is the responsibility of the first-named team ('home' team) to bring an alternative kit to fulfil the fixture. Please contact your opposition in advance if there is a concern.

Changing Rooms

Please note that changing rooms will not be exclusive for single team use, and will be shared with other teams throughout the day. Therefore, please ensure that you take all belongings with you court/pitchside, or utilise on-site lockers once your team is changed (please be aware lockers require you to supply your own padlock).

uea+sport/Sportpark cannot be held responsible for any belongings left behind or lost during the event.

Medals

All teams will be presented with medals upon completion of their match (silver for runners up, and gold for winners).

Please ensure your team is present after the fixture to receive these, and that all competitors and staff are in their playing kit or university tracksuits to receive these.

NB: Please be aware that due to the nature of the event, presentation of medals may be altered - listen to BUCS staff and volunteers regarding any changes.

Spectators

Spectators are welcomed and encouraged to attend the event. There is no cost to attend, and spectator areas will be available. 

Behaviour

All teams and supporters will be expected to behave in manner befitting to the standard of the event. Teams are reminded of General Regulation REG 17.1. Please note that any person(s) found to be bringing alcohol onto site will have it confiscated and may be subject to BUCS disciplinary procedures. 

All teams must give the name and contact number of a person responsible for their team on their team sheet.

No alcohol is allowed to be brought on site. If found, it will be confiscated and you may be asked to leave the premises.

Medical Provision

There will be some physiotherapy provision across UEA Campus during the event. There will not be a run-on physio provision for all matches.
