What you would be doing You will be involved in managing Direct Reports, overseeing health & safety compliance, managing operational budgets, and maximising the facility usage through external hire. Additionally, you will deputise for the Grounds Manager, support event logistics, and contribute to the overall smooth operation of the grounds and associated services. As a key team member, you will deliver exceptional customer service, fostering a positive atmosphere for students and private hirers alike.
What we are looking for
Relevant industry recognised Qualification in Sports Grounds Management (NVQ3 or equivalent)
Tractor and Handheld Spraying Certificate
Hold a current Driving Licence
Experience working in a Sports Grounds Person or Supervisor role
Proven experience of managing people and teams
Knowledge of health & safety legislation within a Sports Grounds setting
A wide sporting background or knowledge of sports
Ability to prioritise and make decisions under pressure
A high level of written and oral communication skills
Ability to work without supervision, using discretion and initiative
A friendly, helpful and tactful approach to users and service providers
A high level of physical fitness
The position is available on a full-time open-ended contract.
Applicants must be willing to work at other locations, occasional evenings, and weekends (on a 5 out of 7-day contract).
